City of Burlington
Over the past two years, I’ve had the privilege of working for the City of Burlington, a small yet rapidly growing community in Northwest Washington. Like many smaller towns, marketing and design responsibilities have often been handled by staff juggling various roles. It’s been incredibly rewarding to modernize Burlington’s marketing efforts and streamline communications across departments, creating a more cohesive and professional presence for the city.
One of the highlights of my time in Burlington was collaborating with the library staff to design an engaging informational brochure and a unified and streamlined marketing presence aimed at increasing community involvement with the library.

Another standout project was the Boerner Park Redevelopment Pop-Up Event, a community outreach initiative designed to gather input on the vision for a new city park.
This effort invited residents to share their needs, preferences, and ideas for amenities they’d like to see included. The campaign involved a multi-channel approach, including outdoor signage, door tags distributed to homes and apartments in the surrounding area, and targeted social media promotions. These efforts ensured the event reached a broad audience and encouraged meaningful community engagement in shaping the park’s future.

I also had the unique pleasure of designing materials for annual community events and creating pieces for a variety of marketing channels including print, digital and for social media channels.

Starting in late 2023, the City of Burlington decided to publish a comprehensive newsletter, sent to every household in the city. I had the pleasure of creating the design, with a mind to keeping it consistent throughout the year, while still being engaging and informative.
